Carbon Neutrality Fellow

The University of California, a national leader in sustainability, has pledged to become carbon neutral by 2025, becoming the first major university to accomplish this achievement.  To help UC reach this ambitious goal, UCLA Health will select two UC Presidential Carbon Neutrality Fellows.

Both fellows will work under the Sustainability Manager for UCLA Health. These fellows will interact together with the UCLA campus CNI fellows throughout the fellowship. Campus fellows will work under the office of UCLA Sustainability.


Graduate students in the health sciences, environmental sciences, engineering, or sustainability preferred.

Medical students or researchers interest in climate change, healthcare sustainability, health equity, and carbon reduction initiatives preferred.

Knowledge of UC sustainability policies, the carbon neutrality initiative, and other environmental initiatives.

Experience working in a healthcare setting. Good written, verbal, and public speaking competencies.
