Facilities Coordinator

This Facility Coordinator position reports directly to the Director of Facilities and Maintenance and is responsible for the maintenance and facilities operations of the College’s Selden, NY location, as well as other SUNY Empire locations in the Downstate Region. Additionally, this position provides oversight to contractors and vendors maintaining equipment and building systems, completing projects, or in emergencies.  Coordinator also makes recommendations on how to streamline and improve building operations and services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Advises staff on facility matters.
  • Provide facilities management for the Selden location and its programs. Directs, executes and/or oversees maintenance, repairs, renovations, snow removal, grounds and all other facility operations.
  • Develops a systematic preventative maintenance plan of campus facilities and grounds.
  • Prioritizes work requests and coordinates all internal and external services as required.
