School of Public Health – Climate Change and Health, Tenured or Tenure-Track Professor

The School of Public Health at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) invites applications for a tenured or tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Professor. Applicants with exceptional qualifications at the rank of Associate Professor will also be considered. This recruitment is part of a major strategic initiative in the UAB School of Public Health to expand research capacity in climate and public health.

We seek an outstanding scholar who demonstrates a strong interest or experience in interdisciplinary public health research and teaching with respect to the following area: climate change and effects on the environment that impact or have the potential to impact public health using controlled experimentation, field methods, population-based methods, pricing and regulation and/or modeling approaches. Candidates with expertise in climate and health within public health including but not limited to the fields of biostatistics, environmental health, epidemiology, health behaviors, and health care organization and policy.
