Technical Lead for Student Services

SUNY Orange is seeking an IT professional eager to support end-users in the Student Services Division as their Technical Lead. The Technical Lead works closely with the Offices of Financial Aid and Registrar as the functional lead for the Ellucian Banner Financial Aid and Student modules and all integrated third-party software and database applications.

Reporting to the Vice President of Student Services, the Technical Lead is responsible for coordinating, testing, and assisting IT with implementing all patches, modifications and system upgrades and facilitating training for departmental end users.

Most importantly, the Technical Lead is familiar with Federal and State financial aid regulations and processes.

Required: Associate’s degree or higher. 2 years of providing technical support for a college or university; prior financial aid, registrar or student accounts experience. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with non-technical end users.
