University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications seeks a part-time OPS Host to work for the Division of Media Properties including news/talk NPR station WUFT-FM, serving 19 counties in North Central and Mid-Florida and WUFT Classic, the 24-hour classical formatted radio signal that serves the Gainesville-Ocala, Florida market, on-air and online.

The on-air host will serve as the primary fill-in during “Morning Edition” (6 a.m. – 10 a.m. weekdays) and “All Things Considered” (4 p.m. – 6 p.m. weekdays) to assist with staff vacation, holiday coverage and special event coverage. This position is not anticipated to see payable hours on a regular weekly basis.  This is for “fill in” talent on an as-needed basis.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Three to five years of experience as an on-air host and board operator.
